With one exception (Fein MultiMaster/SuperCut), we do not sell any other power tools but Festool. There is a world of tools out there and we do not believe that providing a multitude of brands would allow us to have sufficient product knowledge and the practical experience required to adequately support our Festool customers. So we only supply Festool as we consider them the best of their kind, supported by a company that really cares about providing the world best and most innovative power tools.

IDEAL TOOLS is an internet shopping experience. Shopping over the internet is very efficient and enjoyable, but we do not subscribe to the current trend towards high-turnover, less-contact internet stores. Who we are.

IDEAL TOOLS is owned and operated by Anthony and Monique, Melbourne based small business owners. We began our appreciation of Festool products with the purchase of a Festool cordless drill, and quickly learned how effective the Festool system can be during our own building and renovation activities. We soon developed an extensive collection of Festool tools in our workshop. We combine our early first-hand experience, current in depth-product knowledge, and the extensive feedback from our customers, to assist you build your own Festool system.

All your business is conducted with us personally.

We undertake all the Festool and Protool training, and use the products we sell extensively. But no one can know it all, so we also have the technical support Tooltechnic Systems (Festool and Protool) which we consider exemplatory at providing dealer and customer support on par with the quality of their products.

We also utilise the world wide network of experienced Festool users and dealers, with which we discuss aspects of tool use.

How we treat the environment.

At IDEAL TOOLS we support initiatives that help preserve resources and protect the environment we all live in, both local or global. Our environmental practices include:

• Packaging - Where we have control over the product packaging, IDEAL TOOLS only use recycled packaging materials or materials with a high recycled content ratio. We reuse packaging wherever practical.
• Office consumables - Our office supplies are also made from recycled materials, and again recycled when finished with. End of life items (including IT equipment) are all recycled or donated to suitable organisations.
• Our demonstration workshop demonstration materials - Our workshop is stocked with plantation grown, recycled or recovered timber.
• Our suppliers - Our suppliers being based in Europe implement manufacturing standards far above typical standards of manufacturers in other parts of the world.
• Our facilities - Every item brought into our premises has been carefully considered as to its environmental and social impact. All building materials have been selected from low or nil impact sources, and our fit-out has been conducted in such a way to minmise waste if we need to reconfigure our working environment.
• Our energy consumption - In addition to using 100% green energy, we have implemented a building energy management system, and only install the most energy efficient electrical items.
• Minimal waste - At the end of the week we have little or no waste to dispose of, as we reuse or have recycling solutions for just about everything.
