Request a Festool/Protool warranty or non-warranty repair.

This form is for use with Festool and Protool products requiring repair or service.

It can be used for both non-warranty repair requests, and warranty repair claims.

You can use this form to for tools purchased from Ideal Tools or any other dealer in Australia or New Zealand.

By completing this form you are requestging your tool to be picked up and repaired by Tootlechnic Systems Aust/NZ, the distributor of Festool and Protool in Australia and New Zealand.

This information is forwarded to Tootlechnic Systems Aust/NZ.

Ideal Tools will manage the repair process for you, letting you know the outcome of the assessment report, repair costs, warranty claim outcome, and return schedule.

The repair process.
  1. Submit this form describing the tool, breakdown, and return package dimensions.
     
  2. Package your tool:

    For smaller tools, please put your tool and accessories (see notes below) in its Systainer if it has one. Package in a cardboard box.

    For larger tools, package well in a cardboard box with any internal protection required for its safe transport.
     
  3. Pick-up:

    For smaller tools, we will send you a label to stick to the package. This label covers the shipping costs with Australia Post. You can then logle your package at any Australia Post office or agent.

    For larger tools we will contact you to arrange pick-up by courier.
     
  4. One Tooltechnic Systems receive your tool it will be assessed, quoted, and/or repaired.
     
  5. Your tool will be sent back to you.

Please send your tool in the Systainer if it has one.

Include the Plug-it lead.

Include any accessories that might be relevant to the breakdown.

Cordless Tools

Please send your tool in the Systainer if it has one.

Include the Plug-it lead.

Include all accessories including all batteries and charger.

Dust Extractors

In most cases the breakdown will be related to the top motor unit only, not the container. So please do not package the whole extractor, only package the top section containing the motor.

Dust and safety - Important instruction.

All dust extractors must be clean before sending for repair.

Some dusts found in extractors can be hazardous to health. If your extractor is used in a hazardous environment, you MUST state this to our office prior to the arrangement of pick-up. It is an offence to transport hazardous substances.

Dust extractors sent complete with full or partially full dust bags, or in a state that requires the unit to be cleaned before inspection, will incur extra charges.

The sender of the dust extractor must ensure the unit is packaged in a way that ensures no transport damage can occur. Costs of any damaged caused by poorly prepared packaging will be charged to the sender.
